Series recomendadas I

A continuación una lista de series actualmente en emisión en EE.UU. que estoy viendo y recomiendo. La lista no está en ningún orden en particular y los enlaces del título dirigen al correspondiente hilo en MediaVida donde podéis encontrar más información (y quizás algunos enlaces desde los que poder seguir esas series).

Como aclaración, estas no son ni todas las series que estoy viendo ni todas las que recomiendo, solo una selección de series que ahora mismo se encuentran en emisión. La lista se encuentra libre de “spoilers” y quien sabe si más adelante dedicaré más atención a alguna serie en particular.

Boardwalk Empire

El genial Steve Bulscemi encabeza el reparto de esta trama de gangsters en plenos años 20, cuando la prohibición del alcohol ayudó a la mafia a alzarse, todo bajo la batuta de Martin Scorsese como productor y director del episodio piloto.

Sons of Anarchy

Tercera temporada de las andanzas de los moteros de SAMCRO. “Sons of Anarchy” es el nombre de una banda de moteros dedicada al tráfico de armas que lucha por mantener el control del pueblecito de Charming.

Fringe

También tercera temporada para esta serie de sucesos paranormales en la que seguimos las andanzas de Olivia Dunham, una agente del FBI que debe investigar casos muy extraños tras cruzarse con Walter Bishop, una suerte de “científico loco” cuyos experimentos en el pasado le llevaron a un manicomo y su hijo, Peter Bishop.

Mad Men

El buque insignia de la cadena AMC vuelve en su cuarta temporada. En esta serie seguimos las andanzas de Don Draper, creativo de una empresa de publicidad de Nueva York en los inicios de los años 60. Exitosa y genial producción que nos muestra un punto de vista bastante desconocido de como se vivió aquella década.

Rubicon

Una trama de espías más realista de lo habitual, este estreno nos pone en la piel de Will Travers, un analista de inteligencia que descubre una conspiración. Una historia que nos aleja del estereotipo de los espías presentado por James Bond y nos presenta el trabajo al que se enfrentan los analistas de inteligencia a la hora de trabajar con información privilegiada para intentar averiguar lo que está por suceder.

The Event

Presentada como la sucesora de Lost un misterioso suceso de origen paranormal destapa una trama para asesinar al presidente de los EE.UU. Un nuevo thriller que nos dejará en cada capítulo con ganas de saber más sobre la trama que, por ahora, va cumpliendo con las expectativas y no deja demasiados cabos sueltos.

- Al acudir a la secretaría a preguntar cualquier duda te atienden amablemente, en caso de no conocer la respuesta intentan localizar a la persona adecuada por teléfono.

- En caso de tener cualquier problema de índole burocrática siempre dicen que no te preocupes e intentan ser comprensivos y ayudarte.

- Extraño es enviar un email a una persona y que tarde más de 48 horas en responder.

- El programa académico está siempre orientado al mercado laboral.

Universidad de Salamanca.

- Si acudes a secretaría o a cualquier otro lado de la universidad a preguntar algo que está anunciado en algún tablón perdido de la mano de dios o en algún apartado escondido de la caótica web probablamente ya empieces mal . Nunca te ayudarán si no les corresponde a ellos ayudarte.

- Obviamente, la burocracia está por encima de todo y es imprescindible cumplir cuantos trámites burocráticos sean necesarios, no cumplirlos te convierte en poco menos que un paria y no te mereces ningún tipo de comprensión personal.

- Extraño es enviar un mail a alguien y que tarde menos de 72 horas en responder.

- El programa académico está orientado a algo. Probablemente aprendas más, pero nunca sabrás muy bien para qué o porqué.

Impresiones personales tras una semana en UK, quien sabe si dentro de unos meses estas serán igual. También aclarar que los gastos de matrícula son bastante más elevados para la mayoría de estudiantes de lo que suelen ser en la universidad pública española.
